Lando HasWins

The first race of the North-American leg of the Formula 1 races brings the 114th Grand Prix winner and McLaren home a win since Monza 2021! Lando Norris defies all odds, shedding the title of "most podiums without a win" and leaving a 7.6 second margin between him and the Redbull behind him.

McLaren arrived in Miami with their upgraded MCL38. Featuring an impressive 10 different upgrades. Lando's luck in Miami hasn't always been the best. having crashed in 2022 and in the sprint race this year. He qualified 5th on the grid, in front of his teammate, Oscar Piastri. He dropped to P6 during the opening stages of the race but hurriedly moved up to P3 after a sea of cars pitted during the virtual safety car. Having inherited P1 from more drivers pitting, Lando took advantage of the safety car that was deployed due to the collision between Kevin Magnussen and Logan Sargeant on lap 29. (K Mag why are you a menace) He was able to pit while the rest of the grid drove to the reduced speed behind the Safety Car and re-emerging still in front.

With 24 laps to go and a 3-time World Champion behind him, he paid no attention to the apparent challenge, determined to claim his first F1 victory. Instead of focusing on defending himself from the Dutch lion behind him, he consistently pulled away from Max in the following laps. Lando then went ahead and eventually won by a dominant 7.6-second margin! (Is this really a McLaren? WHAT???) The young driver dedicated the win towards his Grandmother and the rest of his family. Cheering loudly over the radio. 5 years in the making. The boy who had a poster of Alex Albon on his wall during his childhood. The boy who's loved by so so many. Won against Redbull and Ferrari fair and square.

After Parc Fermé and regulations, the ecstatic driver dived into his McLaren Team, they lifted him up in the pitlane, celebrating the long awaited win from the talented driver. Multiple drivers came up to congratulate him for his maiden win. Max was happy to get P2. The Max Verstappen was happy that he was in P2 (that's crazyyy) The vast margin between him and the 24 year-old British driver calls for a celebratory retreat . For the first time since 2022, the British Anthem is played on the podium again.
